Our Mission

The Georgia Department of Public Safety’s mission is to work alongside all levels of government to keep our state safe for both residents and visitors. While our main focus is enforcing traffic laws and investigating crashes, we also support other public safety agencies by helping reduce crime, bringing offenders to justice, and responding to both natural and man-made emergencies. Our Mission

The Atlanta Police Department is the largest law enforcement agency in Georgia. It’s a full-service agency that follows a community-based approach, working closely with residents to solve problems together. Atlanta Fire Rescue Department (AFRD)
The Atlanta Fire Rescue Department is committed to protecting lives, property, and the environment through an all-hazards approach. Serving residents, businesses, and visitors across Atlanta, AFRD operates through five divisions: Airport Fire Operations, Emergency Medical Services, Field Operations, Support Services, and Technical Services.
